Removing Pet Stains: Harder than You'd Expect

Pets are great. Who doesn't like dogs and cats? Our animal companions keep us company and are there for us whenever we're feeling under the weather. Even so, owning a pet isn't always easy. Pets can be absolutely destructive when it comes to carpet, especially when you first bring them home.

Pet stains are not a serious problem in the slightest-- as long as you get them cleaned off of your rug properly. When you clean a stain off of your rug, you are only removing a small portion of what is trapped in your carpet fibers. Harmful and smelly bacteria will be left behind in your rug if the rug is not cleaned properly.

How are rugs cleaned properly? Well, that process is a lot more involved than you might expect it to be. Many rug cleaning services clean off stains how you'd expect them to be cleaned, by spot-cleaning stains from specific parts of the rugs. Unfortunately, spot cleaning can never completely remove a stain. Here at Main Street Oriental Rugs, we're firm believers in getting it done right the first time. Our cleaning service obliterates odors and stains the right way. All of the rugs that undergo our stain removal service are soaked. Soaked not once, but repetitively. This is the only way to insure that the stains are effectively removed. Otherwise, stray bacteria may remain in the rug, causing sickness or odors.
