Tibetan Rugs

One style of Oriental rugs that Main Street Oriental Rugs carry is Tibetan rugs.  Older Tibetan rugs tended to be on the more simple side, due to a limit of colors and time available to the Tibetan rug weavers.  They mostly used muted colors such as red, yellow, indigo, gray and brown.  However, at the turn of the 20th century, the weavers were able to get more colors and could make much more complex designs.  Chinese influences began making an impact on the weavers as well.  This is a very fine type of rug.  Here are some of the samples that can be found at Main Street Oriental Rugs:
